Use a direct HTTPS link

In the generator, choose the URL tab and paste the full PDF address. Test that the link opens in a mobile browser without extra taps.

When files change often

If you replace PDFs weekly, either reprint QR codes or plan for a future dynamic short link that points to the latest file—static codes cannot change their destination without a new image.

File upload (planned)

The free workflow is always a direct HTTPS link. A future Pro tier may add hosted uploads; the control below is visible but disabled so expectations stay clear.

Pro only

Hosted file upload is reserved for a future Pro plan—the free tool only accepts a public HTTPS link. Paste a direct link to your PDF above in the generator; scanners and print workflows work the same. Consider Pro later only if you need in-dashboard hosting or swapping files without reprinting the QR image—until then, a stable URL is enough, so there is no need to wait on this button.
